Allegheny County Health Department petitions to join environmental groups in suing US Steel

As of Friday afternoon the Allegheny County Health Department has joined local environmental groups in the federal lawsuit against US Steel. 

At the end of April PennEnvironment and the Clean Air Council announced they’d move forward with a lawsuit against US Steel for violating the Clean Air Act at its Pittsburgh area plants. Within the lawsuit the organizations allege that the company endangered residents’ health by choosing to operate without pollution control equipment.
