  • Immigration advocates and refugees in Pennsylvania gathered on the steps of the Main Capitol Rotunda to recognize World Refugee Week. 
  • Rep. John Sabatina (D-Philadephia) was joined by advocate groups for a rally in the Main Capitol Rotunda is support of HB 1474, or Paul’s Law, which would prohibit discrimination of any potential organ transplant recipient on the basis of a physical or mental disability.
  • Faith leaders, business leaders, and members of the LGBT community joined lawmakers in the Capitol Media Center to advocate for the passage of SB/HB 300 to end discrimination in housing, employment, and public accommodation.

The first annual Pennsylvanians for Parental Equality (PA4PE) rally was held in the Main Capitol Rotunda to promote the need for legislation in the involvement of both parents in the lives of children. The speakers addressed the current issues facing custodial and non-custodial parents alike, whether involved in separation or divorce, and the important rules that both parents play in the lives of their children.
