Did seven Philly cops choose resignation over arbitration?

Last month, Philadelphia Police Department Commissioner Richard Ross announced 13 of the 72 officers suspended for vitriolic and hate-filled social media posts would be fired. Last week, the department announced seven would resign.

The terminations and suspensions stem from an outside researcher that found 330 of the department’s 6,500 officers have posted racist, misogynist, or xenophobic content on social media platforms. With the terminations, Ross announced the other 56, who have been on desk duty, would receive discipline of varying degrees.

These mothers would need to get approved by a board to have their babies with them, which would depend a lot on the crime that they committed and the severity.
