Voters across state make use of new voting machines, as 'hiccups' dog rollout in some areas

NEWBERRY TOWNSHIP, PA.-- As in many districts, voters in Newberry Township must dodge a gauntlet of representatives seeking to dole out literature to their friends and neighbors about their race for borough council or sheriff. 

But according to local officials Tuesday morning, many of the town’s 15,000 residents had to dodge an even bigger obstacle at the town’s municipal building: malfunctioning machines.
