Want those vehicle registration stickers to return to license plates? At least one Republican is pushing his solution to bring a new incarnation of that system back, arguing it would be cheaper for taxpayers and better serve public safety.
But PennDOT officials have taken umbrage with the bill, authored by Rep. Barry Jozwiak (R-Berks). They say that proponents of bringing back the stickers, which would be modified to include the inspection and registration of a car, have used disingenuous statistics and that the current system saves taxpayer money.
