Wolf announces second year of grants towards Teacher in the Workplace programs

Gov. Tom Wolf was joined by teachers to announce $2.6 million in grants for Teacher in the Workplace programs around the commonwealth. This is the second year that Gov. Wolf provided grants for this program. 

The goal is to strengthen the collaboration between educators and businesses to prepare students for the skills that are needed for in-demand jobs.

As House approves child sex abuse bills, Senate Democrats present their competing proposal to reform statute of limitations

Efforts to reform the state’s statute of limitations for child sex abuse got more complicated Wednesday, as Senate Democrats unveiled a broader piece of legislation which includes a retroactive window for victims to file suit against their perpetrators and the institutions that shielded them.

Attorney General Josh Shapiro, along with four freshmen senators, led by Sen. Tim Kearney (D-Delaware) and Sen. Katie Muth (D-Montgomery), are pushing a bill which eliminates the criminal and civil statute of limitations for certain sex crimes against both minors and adults.
