Redistricting transparency proposal rebooted

A proposal that aims to bring more transparency to the redistricting process has been recently reintroduced by Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland).

 

The proposal, which is currently in its cosponsorship memo form, was introduced last session by Rep. Delozier as House Bill 1898 and seeks to amend Pennsylvania’s constitution to change how state and Congressional districts are drawn.

House Republicans set out to the high SEAS for budget savings

As the three-week stretch of budget hearings is starting to wind down, House Republicans on Wednesday unveiled an initiative that will allow them to hear from state employees instead of the agency heads that have been appearing before the appropriations committees since the end of February.

 

Dubbed “SEAS” for State Employees Achieving Savings, a cadre of House Republicans led by Rep. Marguerite Quinn (R-Bucks) announced the creation of a web portal that will allow state employees to directly contact the House Appropriations Committee with cost-savings ideas they have developed while operating on the front lines of state government.

Women in Pennsylvania Government: Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland)

Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland) like many other women lately, joined The PLS Reporter for a "Women in Pennsylvania Government" interview. 

Rep. Delozier admitted that her gender was what she felt helped her win her position as a Representative. She claimed that while she was running against many other men, being a women was what helped her stick out.
