New fraud prevention process and better tax return reviews save taxpayers $29.3 million

Revenue Secretary Dan Hassell announced Thursday morning that the Department of Revenue saved Pennsylvania taxpayers $29.3 million in the last year, and will save around $80.5 million over four years by improving fraud prevention and the process by which tax returns are reviewed.
