Pennsylvania Turnpike tolls will increase by six percent in 2020

The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission announced Tuesday that they will be increasing tolls for cash and E-ZPass customers beginning in 2020, as the commission grapples with increasing debt obligations.

 

The six percent increase in toll rates comes as the Turnpike continues to struggle meeting funding obligations required under two state-level statutes — Act 44 of 2007 and Act 89 of 2013.
