Rep. Matzie hopes to ensure every county uses paper ballots for elections

Rep. Robert Matzie (D-Beaver) spoke with The PLS Reporter about his bill to require every county to use paper ballots for elections. 

House Bill 765 isn't a new idea for Rep. Matzie, who introduced similar legislation during last session. But he stated he has more support this session and he hopes the bill will be seen more shortly.

Pennsylvania already prepared to capitalize on sports betting, House gaming supporters say

A US Supreme Court ruling that opened up sports betting could impact Pennsylvania within the next year, according to the House’s Gaming Oversight Committee chairman.

Rep. Jeff Pyle (R-Armstrong) said in a phone interview Monday that language allowing sports betting was already part of the state’s 2017 Fiscal Code.
