State Supreme Court to review Pittsburgh's paid sick leave, safety training ordinances

The Pennsylvania Supreme Court issued an order Wednesday stating it will review two ordinances passed by Pittsburgh City Council that were struck down by lower courts.

One of the ordinances, passed by council and signed by Mayor Peduto in 2015, requires businesses with 15 or more employees to accrue one hour of paid sick leave for every 35 hours worked to a maximum of 40 hours.
