Marsy's Law garners support for Pennsylvania crime victims to have constitutional rights

Marsy’s Law for Pennsylvania kicked off it’s campaign Tuesday to amend Pennsylvania’s constitution to strengthen crime victims’ rights. 


The national campaign strives to amend state constitutions to include specific provisions to provide protections for victims whose cases are ongoing.

On Monday afternoon, Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland) joined The Zonta Club of Harrisburg-Hershey in the state Capitol for their "16 Days of Activism against Gender Based Violence Campaign."

This rally focused on human trafficking and informed that human trafficking is still active around the world, even in Pennsylvania.

Redistricting transparency proposal rebooted

A proposal that aims to bring more transparency to the redistricting process has been recently reintroduced by Rep. Sheryl Delozier (R-Cumberland).

 

The proposal, which is currently in its cosponsorship memo form, was introduced last session by Rep. Delozier as House Bill 1898 and seeks to amend Pennsylvania’s constitution to change how state and Congressional districts are drawn.
