The Wolf administration—including the Department of Health and Department of Education—announced Thursday that 128 public schools will received the anti-overdose drug Narcan as part of a collaborative effort between the schools, the administration, and Adapt Pharma.
The public schools include traditional public schools, as well as charter schools, intermediate units, and career and technical centers.
“I am grateful to Adapt Pharma, the Department of Health, and participating public schools for doing their part in fighting against the opioid epidemic,” said Gov. Wolf. “By equipping trained professionals in schools with this drug, we are providing necessary resources in order to address this public health crisis.”
