DePasquale announces new audit to gauge voting security

On Monday morning, Auditor General Eugene DePasquale stood with Secretary of State Robert Torres and Senators Mike Folmer (R-Lebanon) and Kim Ward (R-Westmoreland) to announce that he will be conducting an audit of the state's voter registration system to assess voting security before the 2020 elections.

Potential new voting machines exhibited by Department of State

On Thursday afternoon five vendors that were invited by the Department of State to the Pennsylvania Farm Show Complex showed off and explained their voter-verifiable paper record voting systems.

Acting Secretary of State Robert Torres announced on April 12th that he is instructing the state's 67 counties to have new voter-verifiable, paper record voting systems selected no later than December 31, 2019, and he hopes to have them in place before the November 2019 municipal election.
