Pittsburgh URA approves program to fund replacement of old lead lines across the city

The Pittsburgh Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA) board approved a program Thursday that would provide financial assistance to property owners looking to replace their lead water service lines.
The Replace Old Lead Lines (ROLL) program, would be available to low income residents who make below 120 percent of the area median income (AMI). The maximum amount for the loan would be $10,000 with a three percent interest rate- the Pittsburgh Water and Sewer Authority is estimating requested loans will begin at $6,000.
